This is the Spotters Discussion list for Illiana Skywarn. www.illianaskywarn.net This list is Intended for the sharing of information between spotters in our areas. Some automated feeds of weather data may be provided on this list. However, if you are using this for your sole information for weather updates in the Illiana Skywarn coverage area, beware. We have seen time and time again where "up to date information" on the internet is missing something that may be shown from another source. So the long and the short of it is to use your head and analyse the data from multiple sources. Information on this list is designed to be tools to help you, however never rely only on internet based sources for your only source of weather information especially for Watches and Warnings. A "glitch" in the system could mean that you will see data that may be several hours old or in some cases it never shows up. So always keep your eyes on the sky and your ears to NOAA weather radio, SAME systems and your local media sources. If you are a ham, tune into your local SKYWARN net. There, enough said about that. General information about the mailing list is at: You must know your password to change your options (including changing the password, itself) or to unsubscribe. Normally, Mailman will remind you of your illianaskywarn.net mailing list passwords once every month, although you can disable this if you prefer.
